Phlox paniculata 'Sweet Summer Pink with Eye'

Phlox are an essential staple of the English country garden.  'Sweet Summer Red' is a compact variety which will provide upright focus in a middle border position, growing to around 50cm tall., and 40cm wide.  Mounds of rich green narrow lance like foliage give rise to large panicles of highly fragrant candy pink flowers with a deeper eye,  between July and September.  This variety is also highly resistant to mildew.  Will grow well in sun or partial shade on any moist but well drained soil.  Will tolerate wet soils more than dry ones.  The flowers can be harvested and used as cut flowers indoors.
