Hosta 'Minuteman' is one of the most popular varieties of hosta, with it's large heart shaped mid green leaves, accented beautifully by the lbroad, irregular creamy white borders. In summer spikes of tubular bell shaped lavender flowers are borne over the top of the incredible foliage, making it all in all an excellent variety for pots or borders. This variety will grow well in any reasonably fertile moist, but well drained soil, in partial shade. Do not allow to dry out, as it isn't terribly drought resistant, and best in a sheltered location away from cold drying winds, although it is a very hardy plant. As with all hostas, protect from slugs, or spray with a deterrant such as Grazers.
