Heuchera's (Coral Bells) are largely evergreen perennial plants from the Saxifragaceae family. They are native to North America. Their low mounds of foliage are perfect for filling gaps between larger plants as they are quite happy in a shady spot and provide colour from their rich leaves virtually all year long. Varieties of Heuchera range in the hundreds with a range of leaf colour and tiny flowers that grow on long stalks.
Heuchera's are happy in sun or light shade, they like moist but well drained soil. Avoid heavy shading and strong sun, which can scortch the leaves. Heuchera's usually grow slowly so are best grown in groups for greater impact.

A fantastic new intreoduction in the Fox series, Phoebe's Blush features vivid orange foliage with pink tones and a silvery overlay, topped with graceful spikes of tiny pale pink nodding flowers in mid spring. An upright habit keeps the plant tidy, and as it is semi evergreen all it needs is the old leaves tidying up in spring as the new ones emerge and it will grow to about 30cm x 45cm. Perfect at the front of a sunny or partially shaded border, or will combine wonderfully with many plants as part of a patio pot collection. Will respond to any reasonable moist but well drained soil.
