A relatively new introduction from the renowned David Austin stable, Emily Bronte is an exceptionally beautiful rose, with soft pink/apricot flowers fading to cream on a repeating basis. It's a very healthy rose with an excellent strong old rose fragrance which also has hints of lemon and grapefruit. Emily Bronte is a sturdy shrub about a metre and a quarter high by about a metre wide. It will work in all soil types and aspects, as long as it gets at least partial sunlight. A good rose for shady areas, as well as full sunlight, it will enhance any bed, grow well in a large pot and makes a great decorative low hedge. Introduced in 2018.
English shrub roses require less pruning and maintenance than many traditional roses, having a naturally shrubby growth, which just needs older and wek stems cutting out or reducing once a year.
