DESCRIPTION
Fleuroselect Gold Medal winner. The first yellow flowered cosmos that reliably flowers in the UK. Bushy, early and very free-flowering with stunning soft yellow blooms with lighter edges adding to its appearance. 'Xanthos' meaning yellow, golden, fair in Greek.
WHEN TO SOW
February and March
WHERE TO SOW
Sow in trays of moist seed compost and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a warm place and keep at a temperature of between 20-25°C (68-77°F).
WHAT TO DO NEXT
Prick off glasshouse seedlings into trays when large enough to handle 10cm (4") apart. Gradually harden off before planting out in May 30-45cm (12-18") apart.
