Lovely ericsmithii hybrid which is very healthy and robust, yet compact. The tight buds are a rosy pink colour and are produced in abundance from late December before opening to reveal variably light pink flowers, which fade to light green as they age, held attractively above the sleathery and shiny blue green evergreen foliage. The aged plant heads retain a charm and elegance for weeks after they have reverted to green, often remaining intact well into the summer. The plant can grow to c 40 cm tall and wide over time. It is happy in shade or partial shade on any decent, well drained yet moist soil. The flowers are attractive to bees and other pollinators, but the real beauty of this hellebore is that it flowers in mid winter to early spring when hardly anything else is.
