A stocky and bushy plant which grows to about 30cm high by 60 cm wide, and is smothered in deep rich red pink flowers from mid summer through to autumn. needs a sunny and sheltered spot, in a moist but sharply drained soil, and may need supporting in a windy position, as the stems can be quite brittle. However, planted in drifts near the front of a border the effort will be rewarded with months of sumptuous colour.
