A large climbing rose New Dawn has the lot really. Healthy and glossy mid green foliage provides a great backdrop to the clusters of ball like silvery pink fluffy blooms which repeat consistently from mid summer through to the first frosts and have a rather nice fruity scent, make it the perfect backdrop for those still summer evenings. Will reach over 3.5m in time if unchecked but can be pruned back to keep lower, this really is a gorgeous variety. As with most roses, prefers a deep rich soil which is consistently moist but well drained. An application of mycorrhizal funghi in the planting hole is recommended, as is regular feeding through the growing season with a good quality rose food. This, and the application of a good mulch of organic matter in the autumn, should keep your rose healthy and hapy for many years to come.
