Perennial Dianthus, or 'pinks' as they used to be called are an old cottage garden favourite. The Super Trouper series have been specially bred to remain compact and flower proliferously in summer. Just keep deadheading and they will keep on flowering all summer long. Tidy the plants up in early spring, when the danger of hard frosts has passed. 'Elise' is a salmon pink variety with shades of lighter pink around the edges as the flower heads age. A very bonny little dianthus, 40cm x 40cm max, which is great in pots as well as the border.
