A lovely variety of Thuja occidentalis, Sunkist has dense flattened sprays of orangey yellow foliage in the winter, turning a sparkling citrus yellow in spring. Naturally slow growing, it may reach an eventual height and spread c 1200 cm x 900 cm, in a neat pyramidical shape, however can be controlled at any size, and any desired shape through an annual trim. Holder of an RHS Award of Garden Merit, this conifer will grow in sun or semi shade on any well drained but moist soil. Excellent as a small focal point, on rockeries and scree gardens, or when young in baskets and planters, or in a larger pot on the patio.
