Heuchera's (Coral Bells) are largely evergreen perennial plants from the Saxifragaceae family. They are native to North America. Their low mounds of foliage are perfect for filling gaps between larger plants as they are quite happy in a shady spot and provide colour from their rich leaves virtually all year long. Varieties of Heuchera range in the hundreds with a range of leaf colour and tiny flowers that grow on long stalks.
Heuchera's are happy in sun or light shade, they like moist but well drained soil. Avoid heavy shading and strong sun, which can scortch the leaves. Heuchera's usually grow slowly so are best grown in groups for greater impact.
