Covid-19

For obvious reasons our little Garden Centre has been closed to the public this week, and will be for the foreseeable future; we will shall continue to provide updates on social media channels. However we still have a small team in the garden centre trying to fulfil orders with a free local delivery service.

Please can we ask that people don’t visit the garden centre for the safety of all our customers and staff. Despite shut gates and signs we have had a number of people try and come in, doing so puts both our staff and yourselves at risk!

We are sterilising and disinfecting gates, doors and materials when we go in and out, plenty of hand washing and practising our own social distancing between members of the team.

We are still delivering locally so if there is anything, in particular, required please ring us on 01729 824247, message us on Facebook or email us at mail@layoftheland.co.uk and we will drop it off at your house.  Again, can we ask you to be patient, there are only three of us, with one small van and one phone line!  We appreciate that everyone is finding solace in their gardens in these times. We aim to be taking orders Monday to Saturday,  for the time being, but will not be available on Sundays.

We want to keep this service going as long as we can, and there is demand; however we are constantly reviewing government guidance & employees health, and if we feel it’s not safe to continue, we will unfortunately close. Although we have most things at the moment, and a few thousand plants at our own nursery, supply lines and deliveries are becoming disrupted and supplies may begin to dwindle, again if its not worth being here, because we don’t have the things you need, we will be forced to stay at home. In the meantime, if we don’t have exactly what you need, as ever, we’ll happily talk you through any alternatives, by phone or e mail, of course.

To avoid contact we ask you to pay by BACS or via a card payment link we will send you on ordering prior to delivery. This means that no money needs to change hands and we can drop the goods at the bottom of your garden without direct contact. Again for the safety of both yourselves and our team, please do not come out to meet the driver until they are at a safe distance of at least two meters (approx. 7ft).

We are no longer taking further food orders as we are struggling to get stock from our suppliers and we recently supplied Settle Victoria Hall with a large number of ready meals in their efforts to support the local community.
Once again thank for your support in these incredibly difficult times.  We are trying our hardest to support the community and hope that everybody remains safe and healthy.
